Nice to meet you.

I’m an experience designer with 10 years of interaction design and skilled in product strategy, user research, visual design, sketching, wireframes, and prototypes.

How I got started

I began my career in illustration, for court rooms and weddings. In 2009 I could forsee the future of technology and knew I had to be a part of it. Immediately I read everything I could on CSS, HTML and JQuery then shortly was offered a Web Designer / Developer job in marketing at Anscamobile. This led to a new career of front-end development and design of apps, websites, and web applications for a variety of fields such as app development, manufacturing, online security monitoring, fashion, and art.

In 2015 I found myself questioning the bigger ideas, "Are these buttons even needed?" and "How do I confirm this is even meeting our user's needs?" Motivated by my love of problem-solving, systems thinking, and creating useful interactions I pivoted my career towards Experience Design. 5 months later with an Experiential Design certificate in hand, I found a home at Newvoicemedia.

What I've worked on

At Newvoicemedia I focused on improving call center technology and started a new design department. They put me to work on some pretty great challenges. You can read about the first project I oversaw the end-to-end process for Real Time redesign to Dashboards. Or you can view my work on the innovative, award-winning Conversation Analyzer. In my spare time I created a web application for a small-business seeking to track beer pours and provide data. You can view the code on my github under KegPi.

What I'm curious about

I enjoy improving processes and truly helping people be more efficient. It's important to me to work on challenges that are ethically responsible, not being part of the technology addiction, but instead really help people's lives by improving enterprise software they have to use day in and day out. In my next role I want to lead product strategy for an established mid-level to large company with an established design-first process.
